Radiant Floor Heating in Helena, MT
Invisible, silent, and incredibly comfortable heating.

The Ultimate Comfort
There is nothing quite like stepping onto a warm floor on a minus-10-degree Montana morning. Radiant floor heating uses warm water circulating through specialized tubing beneath your floors to heat your home from the ground up. It provides silent, dust-free, and incredibly even warmth that traditional forced-air systems simply cannot match.
Radiant heat has become one of the most requested features in new Helena-area construction, and for good reason: it is exceptionally well suited to Montana's climate. Long heating seasons reward systems that run steadily and efficiently, and radiant floors shine at exactly that — holding a home at a constant, comfortable temperature through months of cold with lower water temperatures and less energy than baseboard convectors. Garage and shop slabs are especially popular installations; a heated slab keeps vehicles ice-free, dries wet gear, and makes a workspace genuinely usable in January.
The catch is that radiant is unforgiving of design shortcuts. Tube spacing, loop lengths, water temperatures, and floor coverings all interact, and mistakes are literally cast in concrete. A system designed from a proper room-by-room heat loss calculation will run quietly for decades; one laid out by guesswork will have cold rooms, an overworked boiler, and no affordable path to fixing it. This is a place where experienced design pays for itself many times over.
Benefits of Radiant Heating
Superior Comfort: Heat rises naturally from the floor, warming people and objects rather than just the ceiling.
Energy Efficiency: Radiant systems operate at lower temperatures than traditional baseboards, saving energy.
Clean Air: No blowers pushing dust, pet dander, or allergens around your home.
Aesthetics: Completely invisible heating—no vents, registers, or baseboards to design around.

What We Work On
We design and install new hydronic (water-based) radiant systems for new construction and remodels. We also troubleshoot, repair, and balance existing radiant systems, manifolds, and zone valves.
Installation types we handle include tubing embedded in new concrete slabs (the gold standard for garages, shops, and basement floors), staple-up systems with aluminum heat transfer plates under existing wood-framed floors, and low-profile overpour and panel systems for remodels where floor height is constrained. On the mechanical side, we build out the full distribution system: manifolds, circulators, mixing valves, zone controls, and outdoor reset — the components that determine whether a radiant system merely works or works beautifully. If you have an existing system with a cold zone, a noisy circulator, or a manifold that has never been balanced, we can almost always bring it back to full comfort without a rebuild.
